Stud: SF 49ers WR Kendrick Bourne

The SF 49ers are used to George Kittle being their Mr. Reliable, but with him out the mantle, now it falls to wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.

Bourne isn’t flashy and he isn’t somebody who will burn defenders in coverage. But he’s a solid receiver who can make first downs and score touchdowns (even if he has had only one touchdown this season).

He flashed this against the Seahawks, with eight catches for 81 yards. Nobody is going to call him the most talented player on the roster, but he has the kind of blue-collar mettle the team is going to need if it gets more wins on the board.

With injuries comes opportunity, and Bourne has the chance to be a more consistent player from the difficulties of this season.

To have a solid game in difficult circumstances is the first step, here’s hoping that Bourne will continue that trajectory.
