Dud: SF 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo

As far as Jimmy Garoppolo goes, the team will need to have an evaluation of if he is the future at the position for the team.

If not, the team has to choose to activate their clause to cut him with little cap repercussions.

This is something for the future and not necessarily now, but it is concerning for Garoppolo a lot of people are questioning if he’s played his last game for the team. It’s a far cry from earlier in the year when the team was within a quarter of winning the Super Bowl.

Let’s be 100-percent fair on this: Garoppolo is not all to blame for the woes on offense that have plagued San Francisco at times this year. The blocking has been atrocious at times, the numerous injuries on offense have been staggering and Garoppolo himself has had bad luck with contact injuries to the leg.

But he does have some responsibility in this, he has a gunslinger mentality but can’t seem to solve the problem of some really bad passing at times.

This isn’t just on his bad leg, it’s an issue he has had his entire tenure with San Francisco.
