No. 3: 49ers’ Current Uniforms (2009 – Present)

San Francisco elected to revert back to its glory days, moving away from the drop-shadow numbers and scarlet home jerseys in 2009, switching over to a uniform that reflected the team’s longest-standing jersey.

We’ll get to that one in a bit, but the return to a bright red home jersey with white numbering was a refreshing change. There were some slight changes to the helmet logo, but the similarities between the current version and the one worn between 1964 through 1993 are hard to distinguish.

In 2017, the 49ers removed one of the stripes from the sleeves, going from three to two. It’s a cleaner look.

Yet the classic red, gold pants with stripes, remains and looks just as solid as the glory years.
