The Baltimore Ravens probably won’t be drafting here, given they’re arguably the best team in the AFC North, despite the 2-2 start to the year.

But if the Ravens do find themselves in a position to draft early, Clemson safety Isaiah Simmons is a perfect get.

Simmons is what many an NFL defense is looking for today in a hybrid player. His 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame is indicative of both safety and linebacker play, and he has the coverage skills to handle both assignments.

For Baltimore, it would fit a glaring need: trying to replace C.J. Mosley, who left via free agency earlier this year. And Simmons, who is quickly emerging as the keystone piece for a stout Clemson defense this season, is the kind of player the Ravens could build around for years to come.

Seriously, Simmons is that talented.
