49ers’ character equivalents on HBO’s Game of Thrones

You’ve got to have a little bit of personality in Game of Thrones to survive. Otherwise, you’ll be devoured by fire from one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons or wind up falling victim to the Army of the Dead.
When we were first introduced to him, we had no clue the master swordsman, Bronn, had it in him to be such a master on the battlefield, first fighting on behalf of Tyrion Lannister with the risk of “death by Moon Door,” then emerging as one of the Lannister’s most trusted fighters on the field of battle.
The thing, though, is Bronn isn’t necessarily out for power, fame or fortune. Well… he does want a castle, but you’re more entertained by his humor and wit than anything else.
Similarly, 49ers fans had no idea tight end George Kittle would be such a force on the field. He was a fifth-round NFL Draft pick, after all, and rare are those players in rising to super-stardom.
But Bronn has gone from a character few anticipated being such an integral part of the GoT series, and the same could be said of Kittle, who is arguably San Francisco’s most important figure on the offensive side of the ball aside from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Plus, both Bronn and Kittle are impossible not to like. You can’t help but root for them.
