49ers’ character equivalents on HBO’s Game of Thrones

Dee Ford as Khal Drogo
If brute strength and sheer dominance are your things, you’re likely drawing the comparison between newly acquired 49ers EDGE Dee Ford and the leader of the Dothraki Horde, Khal Drogo.
Drogo met his fate too soon in the Game of Thrones series, unfortunately, and it would have been awesome to see his might unleashed to the fullest when the Dothraki invaded Westeros. That said, perhaps no other character in GoT invokes more fear and intimidation than the warrior who was never defeated in combat.
That fear factor is precisely the reason the Niners brought aboard Ford, a player who registered a whopping 13 tackles and seven forced fumbles a season ago.
Those would be the kind of numbers Drogo put up if he was listed as an edge rusher.
San Francisco is hoping Ford will be a much more significant character in its Quest for Six series, leading a potent and violent defensive line in a way not seen since the First Men… of the 49ers pass-rushing past.
“All gas, no breaks” is a phrase Drogo would lave lived by, too.
