No. 2: Quinnen Williams, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

By far, the most popular choice for 49ers fans is for the team to take Allen. It’s a good camp to be in.

I, however, have been vocal on being in the Quinnen Williams camp. I’ve literally devoted an article to it and I am passionate in this stance.

Williams, to me, is one of the blue chippers in this draft. He has insane pass-rushing talent that shame almost any defensive end, is astonishingly fast for a man his size and possesses the strength to throw men around. Williams is a man few in college dare try to block one on one, because it simply is a one-sided contest.

Williams also enjoys incredible acceleration in his burst. It’s rare to see an interior lineman with such a devastating blend of speed, skill, power, IQ and acceleration in his game. You could make a case that putting him at No. 2 is underrating him.

Whoever picks up Williams will upgrade their defense by a very considerable degree.
