Niner Noise predicts a San Francisco 49ers win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, as well as breaking down every other contest around the NFL on Sunday and Monday.

The San Francisco 49ers haven’t beaten the Arizona Cardinals since 2014.

That losing streak should have ended back in Week 5 this season, as the Niners statistically dominated the previously winless Cardinals back at Levi’s Stadium. But five turnovers ultimately led to the 49ers’ 28-18 defeat — a game in which quarterback C.J. Beathard was tagged with two interceptions and two lost fumbles.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad has a chance to avenge that loss this Sunday when the Niners travel to University of Phoenix Stadium.

And they should win on the road, thereby ending that streak.

The Cardinals’ No. 1 offensive weapon remains running back David Johnson. But he’s having a down year, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry on an offense ranking No. 31 in scoring this season.

Teams are locking down on Johnson, forcing rookie quarterback Josh Rosen to throw the ball. Rosen wasn’t particularly impressive against San Francisco back in Week 5, aside from a long touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Christian Kirk, who beat a Niners’ defensive breakdown.

Thankfully, no other team has allowed more rush yards than Arizona this season (1,038). As long as Beathard doesn’t turn the ball over and they establish the run early and often, the 49ers should come away with a comfortable win in Week 8.

Prediction: 49ers 24, Cardinals 13

Let’s look around the rest of Week 8 games this weekend and dish out some NFL predictions, shall we?

Eagles @ Jaguars

Jacksonville has lost three games in a row, scoring a combined 28 points during that stretch. And that presumed No. 1 defense? It’s given up a whopping 90 points over that same period.

The Eagles have had their issues this season too, but the Jags’ woes make this a one-sided affair in favor of Philadelphia.

Prediction: Eagles 28, Jaguars 17

Ravens @ Panthers

Watching Panthers quarterback Cam Newton go up against the Ravens’ No. 1-ranked defense should be fun.

Let’s give it to the home squad.

Prediction: Panthers 21, Ravens 14

Browns @ Steelers

It’s been fun watching Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield too. But Cleveland’s offensive talent is still nowhere near enough to match up with what the Pittsburgh Steelers can do on that side of the ball.

When was the last time Cleveland won in Pittsburgh? Oh, that’s right.

Prediction: Steelers 31, Browns 24

Redskins @ Giants

Washington is turning heads this season. The Giants, however, are terrible. Enough said.

Prediction: Redskins 27, Giants 10

Broncos @ Chiefs

No, nobody can stop Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He beat the Broncos in Denver already. Now, the Broncos have to deal with what will be a raucous crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.

This should be a one-sided affair.

Prediction: Chiefs 35, Broncos 21

Seahawks @ Lions

This is a little tougher, as the Seahawks have been better than advertised this season. They’re fresh off their bye week. But the Lions have seemingly found their offensive stride the last two games, scoring a combined 63 points with a bye week in between Weeks 5 and 7.

Home team wins in this case.

Prediction: Lions 28, Seahawks 24

Bengals @ Buccaneers

Cincinnati bounces back after a lopsided loss to those Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Tampa Bay’s defense has been atrocious this season, and the Bengals offense is good enough to rebound nicely in Week 8.

Prediction: Bengals 30, Buccaneers 18

Jets @ Bears

Rookie Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is going to have a tough day if bears EDGE Khalil Mack has anything to say about things.

Prediction: Bears 21, Jets 17

Colts @ Raiders

It wouldn’t be a shock if the Raiders don’t win another game this season. They’re a mess right now.

Prediction: Colts 27, Raiders 17

GREEN BAY, WI – OCTOBER 11: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers #12 of the Green Bay Packers fumbles the football as James Laurinaitis #55 of the St. Louis Rams attempts to recover in the third quarter Lambeau Field on October 11, 2015 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Mike McGinnis/Getty Images)

Packers @ Rams

Ah, the game everyone will want to see. The Packers’ Aaron Rodgers going to Los Angeles to play the Rams’ Todd Gurley. Two potent offenses, for sure.

And while Rodgers is good enough to beat any team at any point, what the Rams have done on both sides of the ball has been absolutely amazing. If you’re into high-scoring affairs (the NFL seems to want that these days), this game should be for you.

Saints @ Vikings

Yes, the revenge game for the Saints after giving up the “Minnesota Miracle” in the playoffs last year.

The Vikings appear to have gotten by their early woes from the first few weeks of 2018. But handling the Saints’ Drew Brees and Co. is more than a handful for even the best of defenses.

New Orleans pulls this off… barely.
