NFL power rankings: 49ers stay even, Patriots fall entering Week 3

Yes, the Buffalo Bills move up out of the basement in our Week 3 NFL power rankings. But that has more to do with how bad the Cardinals were in Week 2 than anything else.

That said, at least head coach Sean McDermott’s squad was a bit more watchable in its 2018 home opener.

Rookie quarterback Josh Allen got the start over Nathan Peterman, and he managed to toss his first touchdown of the season. Albeit against two interceptions, though. And running back LeSean McCoy was, for the second consecutive week, was held in check to the tune of 39 rush yards.

At least the Bills didn’t suffer the kind of drubbing they endured in Week 1 at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. So that’s a plus… one might guess.

Still, the Los Angeles Chargers had this game secured by halftime, making the 31-20 final score seem closer than the game actually was.

Oh, and anyone know where Vontae Davis went? Anyone?
