“Almost” has been the theme for the Cleveland Browns’ 2018 season so far. In Week 1, it was a tie head coach Hue Jackson’s squad could have won. And that squad could have won over the New Orleans Saints, which would have been impressive.

Alas, the Saints rallied in the fourth quarter after the Browns got off to a 12-3 lead entering the fourth quarter. Cleveland gave up its lead late in the final frame but had a chance to tie things up at 21 apiece. But Browns kicker Zane Gonzalez missed his would-be game-tying try from 52 yards out with eight seconds remaining in regulation.

So much for the Browns finding their first win since 2016.

Good teams figure out ways to win contests like this. Cleveland isn’t a good team yet.
