NFL power rankings: 49ers stay even, Patriots fall entering Week 3

Well, anytime your team gets shut out in a game, it’s going to be a massive drop in NFL power rankings. But for the Cardinals, there’s only one spot to go from No. 31 last week.

OK, so the Los Angeles Rams are good on both sides of the ball. And head coach Steve Wilks’ squad had no business winning this game on the road either.

Still, Arizona has gone scoreless in seven of the eight quarters they’ve played so far in 2018, and its net total for points this year is six.

Yes, six.

Quarterback Sam Bradford was bad, running back David Johnson was mostly ineffective and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was held in check.

Maybe the Cardinals should have referred to 2018 as a rebuild year after all.
