Running Back (5): Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert, Alfred Morris, Kyle Juszczyk

The newly acquired Jerick McKinnon and second-year stud Matt Breida were always locks to make the roster at running backs. They fit head coach Kyle Shanahan’s scheme well and should form a nice one-two punch in the offensive backfield.

Keeping Raheem Mostert and Alfred Morris on the team will be tougher decisions for the coaches to make, but completely make sense. Morris has proven that he can find success in Shanahan’s scheme and should become a good goal-line back for the 49ers to have. His performance against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the preseason was nothing short of phenomenal, as he took a previously lackluster run game and made it look incredibly effective.

Mostert is an average running back, but his versatility as a core special teams player will help him make the team.

And last, but most definitely not least, Kyle Juszczyk. Not a running back, not a fullback, but an OW (offensive weapon), will continue to dominate opposing defenses.
