No. 1: Will Jullian Taylor be the missing link the 49ers defense needs?

We all know the story. The 49ers defense needs a sack artist. A man who can line up the quarterback and get to him.

Can Jullian Taylor be that guy?

Taylor was impressive all through camp, took advantage of his first team snaps when the opportunity came and it translated into the preseason game against Dallas.

Taylor has a way to go before he can be a top starter in the league, but more games like his preseason opener could see him on the field.

Taylor started and then played the whole game against Dallas, registering a sack and two quarterback hits.

As a seventh rounder, Taylor plays with an obvious chip on his shoulder. The 49ers defensive line is full of players drafted on the first few days of the draft, and he’s had to fight hard for every chance he’s gotten so far.
