6. Tarvarius Moore

Now we get onto the draftees who did play in the preseason opener versus the Dallas Cowboys.

More from SF 49ers News

Tarvarius Moore was solid in limited action against the Cowboys. He played slightly over a quarter on defense and also on special teams, with the only pass to him falling incomplete.

Moore is still converting from safety to cornerback, so he may not get too many snaps when the season starts for real. But he’s been getting beneficial first-team snaps in camp with the injury to presumed starter, Richard Sherman.

Moore’s athleticism is what inspired the 49ers to make the conversion, and so far there’s been little reason to doubt the transition.

Moore has a long way to go before finishing his apprenticeship at corner, but the 49ers already have success converting Adrian Colbert the opposite way to safety, and he’s been solid so far.
