By Peter Panacy
With the 2018 NFL Draft on the horizon, Niner Noise evaluates the San Francisco 49ers’ quarterbacking depth chart with, and behind, Jimmy Garoppolo.
Just over a year ago, the San Francisco 49ers were scrambling for quarterbacking options heading into the 2017 NFL Draft. They eventually settled on veteran free agents Brian Hoyer and Matt Barkley, while also tabbing former Iowa prospect C.J. Beathard in Round 3.

With the 2018 NFL Draft a few weeks away, let’s break down everything about the Niners depth chart under center and see what question marks or X-factors face San Francisco’s throwers this season.
Starting off with the big name, Garoppolo.
