The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine is less than a week old, and Niner Noise looks at some of the biggest winners from this crucial draft-preparation event so far.

Well, if you want a winner from the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, you technically could list the San Francisco 49ers, who won their high-profile coin toss over the Oakland Raiders on Friday.

The Niners now own the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, set to take place this April, and the Raiders pick 10th.

Nevertheless, there are plenty of other worthwhile storylines taking place from the combine.

The schedule of events, which can be viewed here, kicked off on Friday, Mar. 2, with workouts and drills for prospective offensive linemen, running backs and special teams. Quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends will highlight Saturday’s activities, and defensive positions will round out the final two days of on-field workouts.

While there’s plenty left to digest, let’s take a look at five of the biggest winners from the combine so far.

Starting off with a player, who has easily grabbed everyone’s attention, Notre Dame offensive guard Quenton Nelson.
