Derwin James. 7. player. 48. . Defensive Back. Florida State

In an ideal world, the pass-rush-needy Tampa Bay Buccaneers would have Bradley Chubb fall to them at No. 7 in Round 1.

With Chubb off the boards, and remaining pass-rushers not of great value here, the Bucs turn to another pressing area of need — the secondary.

Florida State’s Derwin James is listed as a safety but has the tools and physical makeup to double as an outside cornerback. At 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds, his size is plenty enough to match up against big-bodied receivers.

And James doesn’t lack for coverage abilities either. It’s an easy pick for Tampa Bay.
