The New York Jets received some solid quarterbacking from the veteran, Josh McCown, before he was lost to a season-ending hand injury in Week 14. He’s also a free agent after this season. And while it’s not out of the question to see him return, an educated guess would have the Jets stocking up this position as soon as possible.

Their first pick in the NFL Draft grabs Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield, following up on the second mini run of quarterbacks in Round 1.

The Heisman Trophy recipient comes with red flags, and his on-field antics are sure to scare off some teams.

But this also lends credence to the thought Mayfield would be able to absorb a tough New York media base and handling the pressure associated with the nation’s top market.

Oh, and he’s pretty electric on the field too.
