The San Francisco 49ers haven’t lost a game with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. Niner Noise explores why the quarterback has made all the difference late in 2017.

It’s time to continue singing praises for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

But if you’ve been watching the Niners’ last three games this season, you knew that was coming. Heck, you’ve probably been singing his praises already.

Garoppolo’s presence on the field is yet more proof how important good quarterbacks are in the NFL. What was previously a one-win 49ers squad has now turned into the team no one wants to face down the stretch.

And this was reinforced in Week 15, as Garoppolo helped the Niners knock off the playoff-hopeful Tennessee Titans 25-23 to cap off a three-game winning streak for San Francisco.

The Niners’ consecutive wins over the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans in Weeks 13 and 14, respectively, were one thing. Beating a now-8-6 Titans team, hungry for the postseason, is a different story.

The difference? Garoppolo.

There are plenty of ways to break this down. Film review, the stats and the general feeling of the team in the closing weeks of 2017 all provide the needed evidence.

So let’s take a look at each and see why the quarterback’s presence has provided the park the Niners so desperately needed.
