There are those teams who get hot at the right time, and the Los Angeles Chargers are one of them.

Unfortunately, the Washington Redskins had to play them in Week 14.

L.A. did a good job shutting down quarterback Kirk Cousins, who isn’t helping his free-agent question marks with a relatively pedestrian efforts in the latter stages of 2017. The lack of receivers doesn’t help matters much, so one can add that to the Redskins’ list of things to do this offseason.

Washington gained just 201 yards of offense, compared to the Chargers’ 488. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know.

Biggest Question

Will he stay or will he go? That’s the question for the Redskins and their quarterback, Kirk Cousins.

A third franchise tag seems silly, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. And while Cousins might never be an elite-level quarterback, even moderately decent QBs are hard to come by in today’s NFL. The Redskins need to lock him up long term.
