Wide Receiver Marquise Goodwin

Sunday marked only the third time wide receiver Marquise Goodwin posted at least 100 yards receiving over his career.

Goodwin finished with six catches for 106 yards during the contest. And despite two dropped passes, he has quickly become a favorite target for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

The speedy wideout later went on to describe the new-found success, via NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco:

While Goodwin may never be a true No. 1-type receiver, the thought of him serving well with Garoppolo at the help points to San Francisco’s offense being much more potent in coming seasons.

After yet another strong effort between this tandem, Goodwin’s stock is climbing nicely.
