NFL power rankings: Breaking down where each team sits in Week 12
By Peter Panacy
OK, it’s time to admit it. The Minnesota Vikings are for real this season.
Sunday’s contest against the Rams was going to be pretty special — a top-notch Vikings defense facing off against the league’s No. 1 scoring offense entering Week 11.
And the winner is… the Vikings defense.
Holding Los Angeles to a mere seven points and just 254 yards is pretty special, considering just how badly L.A. had been beating up on teams prior.
In addition, though, former-Rams quarterback turned-Vikings starter Case Keenum had his revenge game. All he did was go for a cool 27-of-38 for 280 yards and a touchdown. And with wide receiver Adam Thielen continuing to have an amazing year, the Vikings made this contest look like a cakewalk.
Let’s see how far the Vikings defense can carry the team down the stretch, but it’s not likely anyone else would want the unfortunate luxury of having to play this group.
