The San Francisco 49ers pulled off their first win of 2017, dropping the struggling New York Giants 31-21. Niner Noise recaps the good, bad and ugly from this contest.

The San Francisco 49ers are no longer winless, ladies and gentleman.

San Francisco is now 1-9 after knocking off the New York Giants 31-21 at Levi’s Stadium, ending first-year head coach Kyle Shanahan’s losing streak and putting to bed the concerns the Niners wouldn’t find a victory in 2017.

Sure, it took a win over the hapless Giants to accomplish this. But at least Shanahan and Co. can cross this off the list of things to do this season.

Finally.

The game was far from perfect, as would be expected between two squads with a now-combined two wins between them heading into Week 11. But Niners fans also saw a good deal of positive takeaways from the red and gold.

Quarterback C.J. Beathard played well, as did running back Carlos Hyde. And the defense managed to hold its own, despite a flurry of injuries entering the contest.

So, as we always do after a 49ers game, let’s break down the good, bad and ugly from this contest.

And there’s a good chunk of good for once.
