Niner Noise breaks down the San Francisco 49ers’ upcoming Week 10 matchup at home against the struggling New York Giants. Let’s look at what’s on tap for the red and gold including the latest news, injuries, matchups to watch and more.

Week 10 might actually provide the winless San Francisco 49ers with their first victory of the 2017 season, as they prepare to host the 1-7 New York Giants at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.

The Giants are coming off an ugly 51-17 loss at home to the Los Angeles Rams. Such a loss is indicative of all the things that have gone wrong for New York this season.

Chief among the issues are the apparent reports head coach Ben McAdoo has lost the locker room — notably made apparent by his decision to suspend cornerback Janoris Jenkins a week ago. This, combined with some notable injuries, and the Giants’ once-hopeful season has gone nowhere quickly.

Meanwhile, the Niners have dealt with their own plethora of issues. Injuries have played a major role for San Francisco, as the 49ers have used 16 injured-reserve spots already, and that number could rise.

There are plenty of other issues at stake here, but the fact remains the 49ers just aren’t that good right now.

And considering how bad things have gone for the Giants this year, Week 10 might be awfully difficult to watch except for the most die-hard fans.

Nevertheless, let’s offer up our Week 10 preview for this contest and dive into what’s facing the red and gold this Sunday.
