Niner Noise takes a look behind the scenes at what the San Francisco 49ers’ game plan might be as they get ready to host the visiting New York Giants in Week 10.

For the first time all season, the San Francisco 49ers are actually favorites in a regular-season matchup.

According to Sportsbook Review, the Niners are one-point favorites as they get ready to host the scuffling 1-7 New York Giants in Week 10. Multiple reports leaking out of New York suggest head coach Ben McAdoo has “lost the locker room,” which certainly plays into San Francisco’s favor this weekend.

Regardless, the Niners will have to prepare and execute well enough to ensure their first win of the season.

It hasn’t been easy, especially considering the 49ers have already used 16 injured-reserve spots and would be justified using more.

All this has led to a makeshift team for head coach Kyle Shanahan. And yet he’ll be counting on patchwork groups to try to pull off a win over a team dealing with its own issues.

To understand how he’ll go about doing this, let’s dive into the specific game plan and approach Shanahan may use this Sunday. We’ll break down some of the film, as well as both offensive and defensive approaches the Niners may take.

If it works, the 49ers may be 1-9 come Monday. Woohoo!
