Sit-em: George Kittle (SF) vs. Arizona

Fantasy football players looking to find value coming out of this 49ers and Cardinals game aren’t going to find much. Both offenses are struggling and just trying to play out lost 2017 campaigns. The 49ers are trying to find out if tight end George Kittle is going to be part of their future plans.

Unfortunately, he is facing some very tough circumstances while trying to prove he belongs.

More from Niner Noise

Kittle has shown some skill this season, but is yet to put together a full game. Whether with Brian Hoyer or C.J. Beathard at quarterback, Kittle hasn’t had the best chances through the first half. Now there are even more question marks surrounding the quarterback position in San Francisco with the newly acquired Jimmy Garoppolo being thrown into the mix.

Kittle hasn’t been able to develop good chemistry with any quarterback, and it doesn’t look like he has much time left with Beathard either.

Kittle’s only solid performance of the season came against the Colts. He has yet to play well against even a decent defense, and the Cardinals are still great against the pass. Safety Tyrann Mathieu will most likely draw the assignment of covering Kittle. The last time Kittle faced off against Mathieu and the Cardinals, he was held to just two catches for 35 yards.

Even with six teams on bye this week, Kittle is not worth the start in fantasy football. There are not many players in this game that are worth a start in any fantasy football lineups. Kittle is good enough to be in the plans for the 49ers’ future.

However, this week it might not look like that the case.
