Niner Noise offers up our Week 8 NFL power rankings, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles sitting pretty at No. 1. Where do the San Francisco 49ers land after their lopsided loss versus the Dallas Cowboys?

Week 7 surely featured some ugly mismatches, which will ultimately be reflected in our NFL power rankings heading into Week 8.

For starters, the Los Angeles Rams throttled the Arizona Cardinals across the pond 33-0, all but ensuring the Cardinals won’t be making the playoffs this season.

Oh, and Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer’s season is in doubt too. Who would have predicted that?

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers certainly hurt not having Aaron Rodgers on the field despite being up over the New Orleans Saints. I’m sure schedule makers were circling this matchup as a quarterback battle to watch in Week 7, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Closer to home, the San Francisco 49ers played about as ugly a game we’ve seen them play since… well, last season, falling flat to the visiting Dallas Cowboys.

And what about some of those Cinderella teams we’ve been hoping to see this season? You know, the Tennesee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers? They’ve been more on the disappointing end of things rather than the impressive.

All this and more in our Week 7 NFL power rankings.

Let’s start off with the basement with a team that seemingly can’t get out of its own way, the Cleveland Browns.
