Niner Noise takes stock inventory of the San Francisco 49ers after their Week 6 loss to the Washington Redskins. Which players saw their stock rise or fall during this bout?

The San Francisco 49ers are 0-6 after their 26-24 narrow loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 6.

And while the Niners’ five most recent losses have come by a combined 13 points — unreal in itself — the record says as much about this team as you need to know.

The 49ers aren’t very good.

So it makes sense San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co. shook things up leading up to, and including Week 6’s contest. Late last week, the Niners parted ways with four-time All-Pro NaVorro Bowman after the veteran expressed displeasure with a declining role, subsequently ending in a request for release.

Changes didn’t end there, though. Midway through the second quarter in Washington, Shanahan benched an ineffective quarterback, Brian Hoyer, in favor of third-round rookie C.J. Beathard.

These moves are indicative of what Shanahan and the 49ers are trying to do this season — holding auditions for players who might factor into the team’s long-term plans.

Auditions require stock watches, and here’s the latest player stock watch after this Week 6 loss.
