DeShaun Watson (HOU)

Young quarterbacks are viable fantasy options this season. That includes Houston Texans rookie DeShaun Watson. Not only is Watson a viable option, but his is become a legitimate threat to defenses every week.

Watson is having a better fantasy season than Eli Manning, Cam Newton, Phillip Rivers, Andy Dalton, and Joe Flacco. The craziest thing about Watson’s early success is that it is coming without much of a running game to speak of in Houston.

More from Niner Noise

Watson is the second leading rusher on the team and is only trailing running back Lamar Miller by 58 yards. He also has the only rushing touchdown for the Houston offense this season. This Texans team was supposed to be built around defense and running the ball, but it has been Watson making the big plays on offense and not Miller.

With so many quarterbacks faltering through the first three weeks of the season, Watson is a great safety net to grab off waivers. I feel comfortable starting him in my fantasy football lineup right now over all five of the quarterback listed above.

Watson is only owned in 18.2 percent of leagues, so go add him and plug him into your lineup if you are having quarterback difficulties on your fantasy football team.

Other options: Depending on the status of running back Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams (GB) injuries suffered in Week 4 on Thursday Night,  running back Aaron Jones (GB) is an intriguing add as well this week.
