49ers offensive players who have something to prove part 3: Vance McDonald, Garrett Celek, and Blake Bell

The former University of Oklahoma quarterback made the switch to tight end when drafted by the 49ers in 2015 and played in just 10.6 percent of the total snaps on offense last season (106 of 996) and caught four passes for 85 yards.

The surprising thing about Bell is not that you likely forgot he’s on the roster, but that with as bad as Celek was, Bell could not beat him out. Bell only saw the field in limited situations or when injuries to McDonald and Celek kept them out of a game.
