No. 1

HC Kyle Shanahan

This coaching staff are members of the team, and the most impactful team member this year is undoubtedly Kyle Shanahan.

As far as head coaches are concerned, Shanahan was the top-rated prospect of the offseason and the 49ers landed him.

As you read all the stories that the media puts out about which team had the best draft or offseason in general, none of them will take into consideration what happened with the coaching staffs. If they did the 49ers would be at the top of the conversation, Shanahan was the best free agent on the market and what he brings to the team is truly transformational.

More from Niner Noise

All of his prior success is highly likely to follow him with time, and he literally changes the identity of this team automatically.

He finally has the input on the whole organization that his full vision requires and the time to implement it. His fingerprint can already be seen in the entirety of this rebuild, and his innovative offensive prowess will show immediately.

What he promises to bring to the passing game alone is more than substantial in comparison to the 49ers last ten years:

The 49ers have not seen a 3,500-yard passing season in 17 years. Shanahan represents the most impactful acquisition that a team could make in order to remedy this.

What he brings in general insight strategically is worth a fortune by itself but his understanding of the psychology and character of a championship team is what makes him special. It also makes him completely compatible with new general manager John Lynch and the new staff.

The overall conducive nature of what they are building is rubbing off on the players and fans.

Shanahan is the most impactful person in the entire organization and will be the true captain of the 49ers every game day this year.
