No. 1: Marshon Lattimore, OSU

Finally! No. 1 overall on this cornerback big board for the 49ers, comes back to Ohio State, with Marshon Lattimore.

Lattimore has proven through his athleticism, combine performance and in-season production that he deserves to be the No. 1 corner taken off the board during the draft.

The ex-OSU corner comes in with similar size to Conley, with a little shorter arms though. He possesses elite speed, shown during his 4.36 second 40-yard dash during the Combine.

According to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, Lattimore has all of the tools to be successful in his toolbox. It’s just a matter of if Lattimore can put all of the skills together in order to be a top corner in the NFL.

Zierlein does go on to add that Lattimore can be a Pro-Bowl level cornerback very early in his career.

Yahoo Sports’ Eric Edholm adds that Lattimore had four interceptions this past season with 13 passes defensed, with only one year of experience.

His major concern surrounds his injury history, but hopefully he won’t be hamstrung by his hamstring injuries any longer in the NFL.
