Linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong was also another midseason addition from the 49ers and has seen his playing time increase primarily on special teams.

Armstrong hasn’t exactly been the best contributor though as Ryan Sakamoto of NinerFans.com points out.

Those aren’t the type of stats that will guarantee being re-signed next season.

Armstrong is a restricted free agent, which gives the 49ers some more options determining whether or not they’ll want to retain him. But San Francisco may look to upgrade special teams elsewhere and not tender the linebacker a new contract in 2016.
