Kicker Phil Dawson (UFA)

2015 Cap Hit: $4,134,000

40-year-old veteran kicker Phil Dawson continues to be an ageless wonder for the 49ers and is enjoying a 87 percent field-goal percentage in 2015 — nearly three points higher than his 17-year career average.

But Dawson is also making more than $4 million this season for his services.

At some point, the 49ers will have to get younger and cheaper at this position like they did when former San Francisco punter Andy Lee was replaced by Bradley Pinion at the start of the season. Pinion has already taken over the kickoff duties from Dawson.

Look for the 49ers to make a move, either via the draft or in free agency, to replace Dawson this offseason.
