Brock Purdy might not be making much money in the NFL (yet), but that didn't stop him from providing his offensive linemen with some amazing gifts.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is the cheapest player taken in the 2022 NFL Draft, and that's not hyperbole.
Considering how the NFL tiers contracts for drafted rookies, the final pick from that year earned the least amount of money out of the 262 players selected that April. Because of that, the Niners were able to assemble quite the supporting cast over the first three years of his tenure.
Yet the lowly contract, which carries an annual average of less than $1 million, doesn't exactly afford the signal-caller an opportunity to splurge around the holidays.
Somehow, he managed to do just that.
Brock Purdy gifts his offensive linemen with brand new Toyotas
Earlier this season, tight end George Kittle was overheard poking fun at Purdy on gameday in reference to the quarterback's recent stardom, which included TV commercials for both Applebees and Toyota.
Purdy responded in kind by joking with his offensive teammates about getting Toyota Camrys.
While a new Camry would have been cool, the quarterback did some better during the holiday season by gifting his offensive linemen with brand new pickup trucks -- Tundra TRD Pros and Sequoia TRD Pros:
"Santa Purdy" is right.
It's common for quarterbacks to gift their offensive linemen impressive things every year, and the fact Purdy carries a Toyota sponsorship certainly helped.
However Purdy managed to afford the new wheels, his O-linemen surely appreciated the gesture.
And it makes us all wish we could have blocked for Purdy in some capacity over the course of the season, too.
