The 49ers host the Rams for a Thursday Night Football showdown in Week 15, and here's how fans can tune in live.

It's weird to think, but the Los Angeles Rams actually hold a two-game win streak over the San Francisco 49ers, one that includes the first bout this season between the two NFC West rivals back in Week 3 but also last year's regular-season finale in which the Niners were fielding their backups after securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC by that point.

Week 15's matchup carries an entirely different context.

Both San Francisco and LA are clinging to desperate playoff hopes, and a much-needed in-division win would give both squads a better chance of clinching the NFC West, currently held by the 7-6 Seattle Seahawks.

The 49ers hope to carry momentum over from their previous victory against the Chicago Bears, and the historical matchup against Los Angeles suggests head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad can get back on track when the two teams face each other on Thursday Night Football.

The primetime affair, which kicks off on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8:15 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, won't be broadcast nationally on television.

But there are a number of ways fans can tune in live.

49ers vs. Rams Thursday Night Football live stream

Amazon Prime owns the rights to stream Thursday Night Football, and subscribers to the platform will be able to stream the game live with Al Michaels handling play-by-play duties and Kirk Herbstreit on color commentary.

In-market NFL+ subscribers can also stream the game live, too, while subscribers who are out of market can watch a replay upon the game's conclusion.

How to watch 49ers vs. Rams on cable TV

Fox will handle broadcast duties on cable TV but for in-market fans only.

Bay Area fans can watch on KTVU Fox 2, while Sacramento-area fans can watch on Fox 40.

Fans in the Los Angeles area can watch the televised broadcast on Fox 11.
