For the first time this season, the 5-5 San Francisco 49ers are underdogs. Given how the year has gone for head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad, it's not hard to understand why.

On the heels of a third fourth-quarter blown game against an NFC West rival, the Niners are limping into a dangerous portion of their 2024 schedule where they have to face two teams they eliminated in the postseason last January, starting off with a road bout against the 7-3 Green Bay Packers.

If there's a positive, San Francisco should be triggered and angry about how things ended last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, providing extra motivation to get back on track against a top playoff contender within the conference.

Plus, considering the 49ers' own chances of making the postseason have dwindled significantly, there has to be a sense of desperation for Shanahan and Co., too.

Fox will broadcast Sunday's bout between the Niners and Packers, which kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4:25 p.m. from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Tom Burkhardt will handle play-by-play duties with Tom Brady on color commentary.
