Updated 2025 NFL Draft order with regular season complete: 49ers get 11th pick

The Niners won't boast a top-10 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they're close.

The first 18 picks of the 2025 NFL Draft are official, and the 49ers will hold the 11th overall selection this upcoming April.

In an ideal world, the San Francisco 49ers would own the No. 32 overall pick in the NFL Draft, which would equate to having won a Super Bowl the previous season.

Alas, the Niners haven't been awarded the final pick in Round 1 for 30 years now, so that's a moot point.

Instead, following a disappointing 6-11 campaign over the course of 2024, head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad ended up with the 11th overall selection in the 2025 draft. By losing its regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco ensured it'd be the first team from the NFC West selecting in April's draft, too, barring any trade action between now and the conclusion of Round 1.

A total of 18 teams, including the 49ers, failed to qualify for the playoffs, meaning those first 18 picks are locked in.

2025 NFL Draft order (pick Nos. 1-18): 49ers own 11th overall pick

  1. Tennessee Titans (3-14)
  2. Cleveland Browns (3-14)
  3. New York Giants (3-14)
  4. New England Patriots (4-13)
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-13)
  6. Las Vegas Raiders (4-13)
  7. New York Jets (5-12)
  8. Carolina Panthers (5-12)
  9. New Orleans Saints (5-12)
  10. Chicago Bears (5-12)
  11. San Francisco 49ers (6-11)
  12. Dallas Cowboys (7-10)
  13. Miami Dolphins (8-9)
  14. Indianapolis Colts (8-9)
  15. Atlanta Falcons (8-9)
  16. Arizona Cardinals (8-9)
  17. Cincinnati Bengals (9-8)
  18. Seattle Seahawks (10-7)

*Pick Nos. 19-32 to be determined by postseason outcomes.

On the surface, the Niners not having a top-10 pick seems like a negative, at least considering the value associated with such selections. However, looking at the number of top-drafting teams in need of a quarterback -- Titans, Browns, Giants, Raiders, Jets and Saints -- San Francisco is assured to have an excellent shot at grabbing a high-end non-quarterbacking prospect in that spot.

Especially if there's an early run on signal-callers.

The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24 from Green Bay, Wisconsin.
