Rams are gifting 49ers fans another LOL moment with hilarious giveaway decision

This says a lot about the fans at SoFI Stadium, a.k.a. 'Levi's South.'

The Los Angeles Rams simply can't get around the fact they're the "road" team whenever they host the San Francisco 49ers at SoFI Stadium in Southern California. Heck, the Niners Faithful takeover there has become something of a yearly tradition.

One L.A. ultimately thwarted in 2026 by choosing to face San Francisco across the Pacific Ocean in Melbourne, Australia—it'll be more difficult for 49ers fans to travel down under as opposed to SoCal.

The Niners aren't happy about that, understandably. But it does reinforce the point how Los Angeles' fanbase perennially loses out to its Northern California NFC West rivals.

And a recent fan-giveaway decision seems to indicate the Rams are fully aware their fanbase can't keep up with the bulk of the NFL's fanbases either.

That'll make the Faithful laugh... big time.

Rams choose Super Bowl replica ring giveaway vs. the Cardinals (who have no fans)

As shared by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, L.A. opted to have a fan-giveaway event in Week 6 when it hosts another NFC West rival, the Arizona Cardinals:

The Rams announced on Thursday that the first 60,000 who enter SoFi Stadium for the Week 6 game against the Cardinals will receive a “limited-edition replica Championship ring with a special feature!”

The Cardinals game was likely hand-picked for one important reason — it’s the 2026 Rams home game that is likely to have the highest concentration of Rams fans.

No undeserved disrespect to the Cardinals, but they're widely viewed as the franchise with the NFL's tiniest fanbase, something Arizona's star tight end, Trey McBride, recently echoed. Whereas nearly every other visitor to SoFI Stadium will bring a hefty fanbase with it, the same certainly can't be said of the Cardinals.

So, in anticipation of the venue actually being dominated by Los Angeles fans for a change, the Rams are giving away that replica ring to attendees who'd likely actually want one.

For San Francisco and its fans, while they won't have the luxury of taking over SoFI Stadium against their hated division rivals this year, at least they can take some solace knowing they've been a major reason behind L.A. struggling to fill its own venue with its own fanbase.

And the ring giveaway is just one more piece of evidence.
