Day 2 of the NFL Draft doesn't always receive the hype of Day 1, but it tends to be a lot busier and can land teams some exceptional talent, too.

The 2024 NFL Draft is fast approaching, and it is arguably the second biggest event on the league's calendar behind the Super Bowl.

Unlike the Super Bowl, all 32 teams get to participate, and each team's fanbase is eager to see which draft-eligible college prospects wind up donning their favorite squad's colors.

Round 1, which kicks off on Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET from Detroit, Michigan, always gets the most hype. Commissioner Roger Goodell reads off every pick himself, and a solid chunk of high-profile prospects are in attendance so they can take to the podium, greet Goodell and get that coveted team jersey with the No. 1 on it.

There are only 32 selections made on the first night, though, which encompasses the first of seven rounds during the three-day period that is the NFL Draft.

What about Round 2?

When will Round 2 of the NFL Draft start?

The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft will take place on Friday, April 26.

The start time is at 7 p.m. ET, an hour earlier than when Round 1 kicked off the previous day.

Teams have seven minutes to make Round 2 selections, compared to 10 minutes for first-round picks. So, the second round moves a little faster than the first round. In Rounds 3 through 6, teams get five minutes to make each pick, while teams get only four minutes in Round 7 to make their selections.

Once Round 2 is complete on Friday, Round 3 will kick off.

Rounds 4 through 7 take place on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 12 p.m. ET.
