It's been eight years since the Patriots have visited the Niners, and a whole heck of a lot has changed since then.

The Patriots make a rare visit to play the 49ers at Levi's Stadium in Week 4, and here's how fans can tune in live.

The last time the New England Patriots traveled out west to Levi's Stadium to face the San Francisco 49ers, quarterback Tom Brady was at the helm amid the final stages of the Pats dynasty, and Bill Belichick was crowning himself as the most successful head coach of all time.

The Niners, meanwhile, were a dumpster fire en route to a 2-14 finish.

Plenty has changed since that 2016 season. Both Brady and Belichick are no longer in NFL ranks, while San Francisco emerged as a Super Bowl contender only a few years thereafter.

However, Week 4's matchup features plenty of desperation for both squads, particularly the 49ers, who were stunned by a disastrous fourth-quarter collapse against the Los Angeles Rams last week to fall to 1-2.

Also 1-2, albeit in a totally different context, New England aims to spoil the Niners' hopes to bounce back to the .500 mark a quarter of the way through the regular season.

Heavily favored, San Francisco needs a get-right game, and Sunday's bout against the Patriots provides an opportunity.

Here's how fans can tune in live.
