3 simple trades 49ers could make to fix right side of offensive line

While he hasn't been a complete disaster, 49ers right tackle Colton McKivitz isn't looking like a long-term answer, and neither is right guard Spencer Burford.

49ers trade target No. 1: Jonah Williams, Bengals

Jonah Williams

Like the Vikings, the Cincinnati Bengals are stuck somewhere in the middle of being a contender and a pre-deadline seller with a 3-3 record, which looks better after a two-game win streak.

Still last place within the AFC North, Cincy isn't going to be up for a long-term rebuild but might find it worthy to sell off less-needed assets this season if its offense continues to struggle and the losses begin to pile up.

Even if Cincinnati gets back on track, it'd probably entertain offers for the former first-round draft pick, Jonah Williams, who requested a trade last offseason after being asked to move to right tackle.

Williams would occupy that same spot with the Niners, assuming a trade went down. But that might be offset by returning home to Northern California where he's originally from.

And, just like Kelvin Beachum, Williams would certainly be an upgrade over Colton McKivitz.

The Bengals would likely get back a comp pick, if they let Williams walk in free agency. So, San Francisco might have to up the offer a bit by using a mid- and a late-round pick.

The 2023 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 31.
