There were plenty of clouds over the 49ers' loss to the Browns, but there has to be some silver linings there somewhere, right?

Silver lining No. 2: 49ers get much-needed adversity game

How's the old saying go? "You either win, or you learn."

Something like that.

That was the sentiment from linebacker Fred Warner, who spoke about the loss postgame and admitted the Browns "earned it," whereas the Niners did not.

More importantly, after San Francisco had seemingly cruised through its first five games with convincing wins, Warner felt a battle was needed.

"Win or loss, I felt like we needed this game," the All-Pro continued. "We knew what type of game it was going to be. In order for us to be the team that we want to be moving forward, we need to get battle-tested. That's exactly what today was. We learn from it, watch the tape, look at it hard internally and be better from it."

Individually, Brock Purdy and Jake Moody will receive some adversity training from the game, too, which will hopefully transform both into better players over the rest of the season.
