San Francisco 49ers' top 9 NFL Draft steals of all time
By Scott Conrad
No. 7: RB Frank Gore, Round 3, 65th pick overall (2005)
The running back from the University of Miami has made a profound mark in the league since his entry in 2005. In his last season with the 49ers, he became one of 29 players (at the time) to rush for 10,000 career yards.
Over his career, Frank Gore accumulated 16,000 rushing yards and 81 rushing touchdowns. He also recorded 3,985 receiving yards on 484 receptions and18 more scores by air.
All this for a player who came out of college with serious injury concerns that dropped his draft stock.
In his lone Super Bowl appearance against the Baltimore Ravens, Gore broke out for 110 yards on just 19 carries and one rushing touchdown.
Since 2023, Gore has served as an advisor for San Francisco after having been a part of some incredible Niners squads.
