3. Brock Purdy, 49ers

Before any 49ers fans jump to conclusions and start the negative comments, let me say this: Brock Purdy has the chance to finish the season no. 1 in these power rankings. However, even though these are the "right now" type of rankings, we still have to factor in a little bit of history, here.

Purdy has only been around one season. Yes, it was an impressive rookie campaign and it came from a guy who was taken dead last in the NFL Draft; a heck of a story, really. But, Purdy has to come out of the gate picking up where he left off before he was injured last year. There are two good, veteran quarterbacks ahead of him in this division, still, and Purdy has to show that he can do it for longer than just one season.

Now, let's revisit Purdy's quick, yet impressive, rookie campaign. He was forced into action, starting five games. Purdy went 5-0 in those starts, throwing for 1,374 yards, 13 touchdowns and just four picks. He completed 67 percent of his passes and finished third in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.

One more solid, full season from Purdy, and he could be right up at the top of these rankings
