Does anyone stand a chance at competing with the 49ers in the NFC West?

2. Los Angeles Rams (1-1)

The Rams may have lost to the 49ers in Week 2, but they kept it close for a good chunk of this one and were coming off a win over the Seahawks, which makes it fairly easy to put them at no. 2 here. There were a pair of ties in this game, coming at 10-10 and 17-17 before the 49ers ultimately put it away late.

Despite the loss, the Rams should feel pretty good about themselves after two games. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has looked great, for the most part, especially considering he is without Cooper Kupp. The Rams needed someone to step up in Kupp's absence, and rookie fifth-round pick Puca Nakua has been exactly what they've needed.

Nacua broke the all-time record for most catches in a player's first two games, after he totaled 15 receptions against the 49ers, which followed a 10-catch game in Week 1. The previous record was held by Earl Cooper with 20.

Los Angeles actually finished with more total yards than the 49ers in this one, but the pair of Stafford interceptions ended up being the difference. San Francisco did not turn it over once, while the Rams did so twice. Next week, the Rams will take on a reeling Cincinnati Bengals team in prime time.
