There are still a number of 49ers from last season's team who are free agents.
49ers from last season who are free agents: S Logan Ryan
Veteran safety Logan Ryan was on a cruise when he got the call from the 49ers asking him to play. The team was banged up at the safety position and needed a veteran to step in.
Ryan came in and did alright in the role, but it was clear that Ji'Ayir Brown performed better at the safety position even though he was a rookie.
Ryan may be able to find a home this offseason, but like Gipson he may decide to retire if no opportunities come his way.
