49ers from last season who are still free agents: DE Randy Gregory

Like now-New Orleans Saints edge Chase Young, the 49ers acquired Randy Gregory via trade last season. He seemed like he was going to be the edge rusher opposite Bosa until the Young deal happened after their three-game skid.

Like Young, Gregory was not terrible but was also not a game changer. He had 2.5 sacks in the 12 games he played for the Niners.

The Leonard Floyd signing likely means the end of Gregory's time in San Francisco as well. He may be in his early 30s, but Gregory still has a proven record as a pass-rusher and should find a home in free agency.

The next 49ers free agent was picked up late in the season to address injuries to the defensive line.
