3 reasons Packers will be a tough opponent for 49ers in divisional round

The Green Bay Packers will not be an easy opponent for the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

No. 3: Packers have nothing to lose

There is nothing scarier than a team playing with house money.

The 49ers are supposed to be in this position. At the beginning of the year, many picked them to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

No one was thinking about the Packers as a serious contender in the NFC. And yet here they are, one win away from the NFC Championship game.

That underdog “no one believes in us” mentality can make a team dangerous. It is clear that the Packers fed off that sentiment and used it to their advantage against Dallas. They will be using that same motivation against San Francisco in a game that not many will give them a chance to win.

In sum, the Packers are not to be taken lightly. They have a quarterback who is playing lights out and they are confident and not afraid to lose.

That is what makes them a dangerous matchup for the 49ers in the divisional round when both teams kick off on Saturday, Jan. 20 from Levi's Stadium.
