No. 3: Commanders do not have a great defense

One could argue that there is no better opponent for Purdy and the 49ers to get their offensive mojo back against than the Commanders.

Judging by yards per game, the Commanders have surrendered the most in the league at roughly 384.

If the 49ers are clicking on all cylinders, they should be able to take advantage of the Commanders defense.

However, the Commanders still have talented players. Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen poses a threat especially with the injuries the 49ers currently have on their offensive line.

And you never know what can happen when a West Coast team has to travel east for an early game on Sunday like the Niners will have to do this week.

But on paper, the Commanders are a good team for Purdy to get his confidence back against if he and the offense play up to their potential.

In sum, Purdy is poised to have a bounce back game this Sunday against the Commanders.
